The list of national appointments was announced recently, and Minnesota will again have three national chairmanships this year. Dennis Henkemeyer of Bagley will chair the Magazine
Commission and Bill Goede of Plainview will chair the Naval Affairs Committee. In a new appointment, Chuck Kruger of Byron was named chairman of the Homeland Security and Civil Preparedness Committee. Jeff
Olson, who had served as chairman of the National Convention Corporation for many years will now be the National Commander's Representative on the Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation Commission. Past National
Commander Dan Ludwig will serve on the Advisory Committee to the National Commander and on the Policy Coordination and Action Group. Ludwig will also serve as a director of The American Legion Endowment Fund
Corporation. Al Davis of Princeton will serve on the Americanism Commission. Serving as vice chairmen of the Americanism Council will be Mike Ash of St. Paul, Joe Bayer of Minneapolis, Ray DeZurik of Nisswa, Ray
