Selfless Service
A commitment to serving something larger than oneself and inspiring others to contribute to the strengthening of America.

Our History
Chartered by Congress in 1919, The American Legion is the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization. We are committed to serving veterans, mentoring youth, promoting patriotism, and strengthening communities across Minnesota and the nation.
Through programs like American Legion Baseball, Heroes to Hometowns, and local scholarships, we foster citizenship, support military families, and provide opportunities for the next generation.
As a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization, The Legion advocates for veterans at every level of government, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.
Our strength comes from our members—dedicated volunteers who believe in service, community, and country.
